Our aim is to make both children and adults curious about nature and helping them learning more about it. Nature experiences are within everyone’s reach and there are simple ways find them. We want to show this by taking you on adventures ”just round the corner”.
As a filmmaker, I think it’s important to tell and explain how some things in nature are connected and why things work the way they do. Why do bumblebees like flowers so much? Can a wood-louse see things with its eyes? Biology at the right level is something for children of all ages.
Knowledge of all living things, the biological diversity is necessary to develop a sustainable society. If children and young people are given the opportunity to feel at home in nature at an early age, chances are big that they will carry that feeling and commitment even as they grow older.
Therefore, it is important that we adults offer the children rich and varied nature experiences in different contexts. We adults do not have to know everything, but be involved in arousing the children’s curiosity and together with the children discover, experiment and investigate.
Through nature experiences, children’s different senses are stimulated and in our interaction with them, we create context through concrete nature experiences.
